Nobody can predict a ServiceOntario line. But if you’ve got twenty minutes, that’s about nineteen more than you need to walk over and back.

Half of What You’re Queuing For, You Can Do at Home
This is the least self-serving thing on our website.
Plenty of ServiceOntario business never needs a counter. Licence plate sticker renewals, health card renewals, driver’s licence renewals, address changes — most of the everyday ones can be done at ontario.ca in a few minutes, from a chair you actually like.
Worth two minutes of checking before you give up an afternoon. And if it turns out you do have to come in person, at least you’ll know it was necessary.

If You’re Staying in Line
A few things worth knowing while you wait it out.
Don’t lose your spot. If you’ve got a number or you’re near the front, stay put. We’re open until 10:55 PM and we’re not going anywhere.
Bring photo ID. You’re at ServiceOntario, so we’re going to guess you have some on you.
Order ahead if you’re in a rush. Build a basket on the live menu and pick it up on your way out.
Save it for later. Nothing gets opened or used on the property — ours, theirs, or the parking lot in between. And don’t drive after consuming.

The Plaza, Briefly
There is more going on at this address than a licence renewal.
1170 Sheppard Avenue West is a strange little strip when you think about it: a government office, a cannabis store, and a row of neighbours, all sitting on the edge of what used to be an active airfield. de Havilland built aircraft on this land for decades. Now it’s where you renew your plate sticker.
If your afternoon opens up, Downsview Park is a short walk west, The Hangar is on the same grounds, and Rogers Stadium sits at the north end of the old runway.
